Welcome to my web site. I am Ruth Alice Jurey, a practicing Speech and Language Pathologist, and your guide to positive principles in speech, language and learning.
Language and reading are really one continuous process. And the skills we use to learn language are the same skills that we use to learn all academic subjects. These abilities are complex, and so problems can be confusing to parents and teachers. I hope that the explanations and experiences here will help to clarify the way to success for all students. Because in today's world, literacy is not optional.
